Panasonic Battery
The Panasonic Battery Special Shape Balloon, sponsored by Panasonic UK, has been operated by Images in Flight since 1995. In fact, the picture opposite is of the second battery, built in the summer of 1999, to depict the 'Power MAX' range of Alkaline batteries. These batteries are specifically designed for today's high-drain applications. The balloon is around 120 feet tall and 55 feet wide. It accurately depicts the LR20, or 'D' cell battery, including the positive terminal on the top.
The balloons have been flown in many countries and are a regular visitor to the April balloon meeting in Sligo. The two balloons are registered G-PSON and G-MAXX
