Freedom Flight
This voucher entitles the passenger to fly at any of our locations in the South of Ireland. Passengers can choose from our flight schedule and make a reservation at any location on morning or evening flights including weekends and bank holidays. The flight will be in one of our group passenger balloons. Should you wish to do an EXCLUSIVE flight (see below) then this voucher can be upgraded. - Purchase a Voucher
Exclusive Flight
This voucher is for an exclusive flight for groups of two to four passengers in one of our smaller balloons. These flights normally take place from our Trim, Co. Meath location however we can travel to your choice of launch site providing it is suitable. Luxurious Sleepover Balloon Flight for Two
Stay the night at the award-winning Trim Castle Hotel and take a midweek evening champagne balloon flight. This amazing package includes accommodation, full Irish breakfast and a 3-course evening meal in the Bailey Bar for two people. These flights are available Mondays to Thursdays as part of our regular group flights. Please note that the accommodation portion of the package must be paid for in advance, but we can take a deposit of €100 per voucher for the flight vouchers i.e. a deposit of €310 leaving a balance of €188 payable on the day of the flight. Group Flights
We can cater for groups of up to 28 passengers using one or two of our balloons. Ideal for wedding parties, corporate groups, hen parties, stag parties or just a group of family or friends celebrating a special occasion. We can fly from any of our locations or we can go to your location for a more exclusive flight. Weekday Flight
This voucher entitles the passenger/s to fly from our midweek locations on weekday evenings (Monday to Thursday inclusive). These flights take place around three hours before sunset. Should you wish to fly at other times or locations this voucher can be upgraded to a Freedom or an Exclusive voucher. - Purchase a Voucher
Extension Fees
If expired vouchers are to be extended, there is an extension fee of €50 per voucher. If passengers have been booked onto at least three cancelled flights during the validity period of the vouchers, they are automatically extended into the next season, free of charge. Purchased voucher extensions can only be done once.
Flight Details
Our pleasure flights take place all year round from a variety of prime locations. These launch sites have been chosen for their scenic beauty as well as the accommodation and other facilities that they can provide.
For passenger flights, the balloons we operate can take from 2 to 16 passengers, plus pilot. We can cater for groups of up to 28 passengers at a time.
Balloon flights take place all year round. Reservations can be made during our scheduled season online or by phone if internet access is not available. We publish a full schedule of flights in March each year detailing the locations, times and available spaces. This allows passengers to choose locations, dates and times to suit themselves. Our scheduled season commences in March and runs until mid September however as we can get some stunning flying days in the winter we also operate a “Winter Standby List” (by request). Winter Standby Flights take place between November and March inclusive. Our Flight Schedule goes online on the 1st March each year for flights commencing April.
Flights typically take place early morning, just after sunrise, and a few hours before sunset when the wind conditions are at their calmest.
Flights vouchers can either be purchased online or via our office. Once the booking has been made, a flight voucher pack will be posted to the purchaser. Alternatively we can post the voucher pack directly to the recipient along with a greeting card bearing your message. We will post the payment receipt to your address. E-vouchers, if requested, will be sent out the same day. Next day postal delivery (Swiftpost extra €10-00) also available - please specify. Vouchers can also be collected from Dublin and Trim, Co. Meath.
All vouchers are valid for 12 months and will be extended Free of Charge into another season should the passenger have three flights postponed by us during the validity period of the voucher.
We always endeavour to fly passengers on their preferred date, but this can sometimes be difficult to achieve if the weather is not suitable on the day. Launch sites may be changed at short notice or on the day if wind direction dictates – this is always at the pilots’ discretion.
Balloon flights typically last for around an hour, but guests should allow 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience. After the balloon flight, a glass of celebratory champagne is provided. Passengers can then be driven back in our luxurious 4 wheel drive mini buses to the original meeting point, if required.
Corporate Balloon Flights

Irish Balloon Flights are very experienced in providing corporate entertainment and have a number of options to add something special to corporate events. In most cases, we are able to jointly offer both ballooning activities in addition to conferencing facilities and accommodation packages with our many hotel launch site partners. The facilities that these sites can offer are detailed on their Web Sites that can be accessed from our Launch Sites page. As an example, we are able to offer the following facilities;
- Static hot air balloon display at company 'fun-days' or other organised event.
- Balloon flights as part of a company incentive scheme or team-building event.
- Banner advertising on our unsponsored balloons.
We can also fly from a suitable location of your choice.
